The Polis are Scotland's No.1 Police tribute act. Performing an energetic and dynamic live set with all the urgency and angst of The Police at their very best. Join them on a journey from Roxanne to the iconic Every Breath You Take whilst along the way, taking time out for a few B-sides, classic album tracks and live arrangements, a treat for the true Police aficionado.
Whilst deliberately not a look-a-like act, The Polis do tip their hats to the original Police with their instantly recognisable and striking on-stage look.
Musically however, the band have rehearsed tirelessly to bring a reality and likeness to the sound that originally brought The Police to massive global popularity in the late 70's and early 80's.

“Tribute and cover bands can be subject to ridicule and sneering. But The Polis tonight were magnificent. A four piece version with a singer relieved of bass duties.
Give me keyboards, a bass or guitar I can play them. But the musicians on show tonight were on a different level. I didn’t spot a weak link.
It was a reminder just how good The Police were. I saw them in 1979. I judged everything on merit tonight not conjecture. They were brilliant.”
“Made a last minute decision to make my way into Edinburgh yesterday to see the 2nd festival show at Merchants Hall of Scotland’s very own Police tribute The Polis.
I was very glad I made that last minute decision.
This was my third time seeing the band in around 18 months and by a considerable distance this was the best. Why?
This band has been practicing hard recently and the results of yesterday prove it.
Tight and compact The Polis played faultlessly just about every hit the supergroup produced in a stellar but criminally short career. Criminally short is also how i would describe the 90 minute set by The Polis yesterday. I would happily have enjoyed another hour -at least- to savour yet more of the awesome back catalogue available.
Hit after hit sang and played wonderfully and I can’t wait till the next time.
Well done boys, you should all be delighted with that performance, I know the sizeable crowd in attendance certainly were.
Rating - 9/10.”
“What a brilliant night at The Voodoo Rooms in Edinburgh last night! Amazing atmosphere! The place was jumping with a great crowd of mad Police fans. Robbie, Alan, Ewan and Stevie, you were on top form and deserve the huge crowd who turned up! So pleased for you guys! Thanks for bringing back Bring On The Night. It was superb. Great guitar and bass on that. Ewan teased us with a bit of Demolition Man and Masoka Tango.... maybe coming soon??? Thanks for a great night! Bring on the next one!”
“OK... said this to each and every one of the lads tonight.
Those who’ve known me the longest... know of my infatuation with Sting, Stewart and Andy.
This was the first “tribute” band to The Police I’ve ever seen.
I was the most sceptical person in the place.
I stood there and was like... go on then... impress me...
F#ck me!!! They impressed me and some.
Absolutely brilliant. Would love to see them do the songs a little more from the “live” versions but that’s the ONLY thing I could think of when it came to what could be better... and hey... going by the girls on the dance floor tonight they’ve already got their Dolette, Michelle and Tessa... lol.
4 lads from the kingdom of Fife... where no bugger can say Roll of Linoleum (except the drummer... lol).
Thank you for an awesome night. Totally blew me away. I’ll see you lads again... soon I hope.”
“A four piece trio? The mighty Sting was played by two people here – a bass player and a vocalist. This was a cabaret-type venue, with table service going on throughout, rather than a concert. The Polis were a good live band who gave accurate and skilled performances, rousing the crowd to relive their own teenage years with great enthusiasm! Musically they were excellent; Andy Summers’ guitar parts were note for note and the drummer drove the night along with a vigorous Stewart Copeland impression. The singer was also very convincing, effortlessly hitting all the high notes and involving the crowd. By the time they ended with ‘Roxanne’ the audience were frenzied, but this time Dad wasn’t coming to pick them up!”
